Barry Reigate

Barry Reigate lives and works in London. He embraces pop cartoon imagery, relishing its alternative engagement with desire or horror with the intensity of primitivism.  

Unlike Reigate's paintings which are richly layered and riotous in colour, the works at Fulmer - Mouse #1 #2 and #3 - appear drained, yet retain the same thick impasto handling of material.  Standing and watching, they hover between zombies and sad commentators.
